The first Erasmus trip to Finland was such a wonderful experience. Four children from Y5 and two adults from St. John´s took this adventure for a week.
Adults were involved in Hyrsinkin school every day activities, taking part in the lessons and cooperating with teachers. Adults also had some training sessions and did activities around the project’s topic, the olympic games.
Children met lots of new friends from our partner schools in Poland, Spain, Czech Republic and Finland. They also practiced winter sports such as skating, sledging, curling…
Children stayed in a lovely host family where they learnt the Finnish culture and customes.
We are so grateful that St.John’s is participating in this European project, where children and teachers can travel, exchange experiences and learn about other education systems to make our school, even, a better place for learning.
